What is email forwarding?

Netistrar provides a free email forwarding service. This means that if anyone emails any address associated with your domain, these emails will be forwarded to a different email address on a different provider. For instance, if you own the domain mynewdomain.co.uk, any emails sent to me@mynewdomain.co.uk, test@mynewdomain.co.uk, test2@mynewdomain.co.uk, etc. can be forwarded to a different email address, e.g. jbloggs@gmail.com. This allows you to continue to use an existing email address while allowing people to contact you using a personalised domain. Netistrar allows forwarding of up to 200 emails a day.

Using email forwarding

If you wish to use this service, go to your Dashboard, then select the "Manage Domains" option, and find the domain you wish to add/edit records for by searching in the bar above the list of domains. Click on the domain you wish to forward emails from. On the left hand menu, choose the 'Email' option. Scroll down to the 'Email Forwarding' section.



To setup email forwarding, simply type an email address into the 'Forwarding Email' box and hit 'Setup email forwarding'. This should add an MR record, and setup is now complete. Full forwarding functionality through the record may take up to 24 hours to complete and stabilize. This should add an MR record, and setup is now complete. If an email is already setup for forwarding and you wish to change it, simply write in a new address and hit 'Change email forwarding'.
